Fork and Cork is set to open its doors at 5pm Friday and organizers say advanced ticket sales are promising.
The Trews, along with Fuel, Finger Eleven, and Tonic will co-headline the festival at Riverfront Festival Plaza.
Event Vice President Kristian Neill says he anticipates the biggest turn out in the event's six-year-history.
"Believe it or not this year our pre-sales are higher than they've ever been," says Neill. "Looks like we're getting some great repeat customers and we're growing our draw through tourism as well. We have a lot of people coming in from Michigan and other states, we've even sold some tickets out of London, Ont. "
He told AM800 News this year's event will feature some of the best food and drink in Windsor-Essex. He hopes what has already been a successful festival season continues.
"Our main focus with this festival has always been support local to showcase what Windsor has to offer when it comes to food, wine, beer, and everything else," he says. "We wanted to show that Windsor is a beautiful and special place."
Neill says set up has gone off without any major speed bumps.
"We're actually ahead of schedule right now," he says. "We finish up moving the vendors in for food, wine, craft breweries, local distilleries as well, and all of our merchandise vendors."
Doors open at 5pm with Fuel and The Trews headlining, Finger Eleven and Tonic headline Saturday night, the festival wraps up Sunday evening with local band Dave Russell and the Precious Stones.
