The Insurance Bureau of Canada released its annual list of Canada's most frequently stolen vehicles.
Once again, the Ford F-Series trucks topped the list. The light and medium-duty trucks are popular with auto thieves across the country.
Ford F-350 trucks hold the top five spots and nine of the top ten.
The 2007 Ford F-350 4WD is at the top of the list of the most frequently stolen vehicles in Canada.
The 2015 Lexus GX460 4DR AWD SUV is the only one on the national list not made by Ford.
In Ontario, thieves target high-end SUVs and trucks, including Chevrolet's Tahoe, Silverado and Suburban. The 2004 Chevrolet/GMC Tahoe/Yukon 4DR 4WD is listed as the most stolen vehicle in the province.
According to the Insurance Bureau of Canada, automobile theft costs Canadians close to $1 billion each year, including $542 million for insurers to fix or replace stolen vehicles, $250 million in police, health care and court system costs and millions more for correctional services.
