The 2020 edition of the Ford Fireworks will be fired off at a secret location.
According to the Parade Company of Detroit, the fireworks will not be held downtown or over the Detroit River in an effort to avoid large crowds gathering to watch the show.
It was announced back in May that this year's fireworks would be moved from June 22 to August 31 and no crowds would be permitted to congregate at the waterfront due to COVID-19.
Now with no show over the river, the fireworks will only be viewable on television with a broadcast planned from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The theme of the 62nd annual display is We Are One Together.
