Ford says it's planning to spend $740-million to refurbish the historic Michigan Central Station in Detroit.
The automaker wants to turn the rundown building into an office campus for up to 5,000 employees working on self-driving cars.
Ford had announced the project in June but did not say then how much money they intended to spend.
America's second-largest car company is seeking at least $250-million in tax incentives to help them revamp five Corktown properties that they purchased.
Ford officials said they think it will take four years to reopen the historic train station that opened in 1914 and closed in 1988.
