The Leamington Flyers, of the GOJHL have made a move to acquire forward Lucas Fancy from the Strathroy Rockets.
Fancy appeared in 45 games with the Rockets last season, scoring eight goals and added 21 assists, along with 30 penalty minutes.
He also added two assists in the five game series against Leamington in last year’s playoffs.
Leamington General Manager, Justin Solcz says he's very happy to have Fancy join the club.
“We are very excited to get Lucas on our side,” says Leamington General Manager, Justin Solcz. “He was excellent against us in the playoffs last year and works is an outstanding playmaker who hounds the puck.”
As a 16 year old, Fancy was the runner up for the Rookie of the Year Award in the Provincial Junior Hockey League’s Stobbs Division as a member of the Blenheim Blades.
The Flyers’ training camp opens Friday August 16th at the Kinsmen Recreation Complex.
