Quinn Lenihan scored a power play goal with :32 left in the third period to lift the London Nationals to a 5-4 win over the Leamington Flyers in the opening game of the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League Western Conference final.
Leamington had three one-goal leads through the first 40 minutes of play and needed to a goal by Josh Pope-Ferguson at 15:38 of the third period to tie the game 4-4.
Zach Guilbeault, Griffin Robinson and Broden Meloche also scored for the Flyers.
Connor Meyerink made 29 saves for Leamington, who were outshot 34-25.
Game 2 in the best-of-7 final goes Thursday night in Leamington.
