A flood watch has been issued by the Essex Region Conservation Authority.
It was issued due to predicted wind gusts out of the west at 60 possibly up to 90 km/h.
ERCA says there is a possibility of flooding, shoreline erosion and damaging waves along the Lake Erie shoreline, especially along the west side of Pelee Island, the west side of Point Pelee and Leamington.
The watch is in effect until 9am Thursday.
