Warning in effect until Saturday afternoon
A flood warning has been issued by the Essex Region Conservation Authority.
ERCA says flooding is occurring along portions of the Leamington shoreline between Wheatley Harbour and Point Pelee National Park.
According to ERCA, continuing winds have caused flooding in the Cotterie Park Road area.
ERCA says portions of roads and private lands are covered with water.
The authority adds there is also a chance for shoreline erosion and damaging waves until the winds shifts to southwest.
ERCA says there is also a chance of flooding along the shorelines of Kingsville, Essex, Amherstburg, Tecumseh, Lakeshore and Windsor.
The warning is in effect until Saturday afternoon.
