The advisory was issued due to heavy rain overnight and more rain in the forecast today
Heavy rain overnight, and more expected during the day Friday, has prompted a flood advisory from the Essex Region Conservation Authority.
ERCA is warning everyone to watch for standing or pooling water in low lying areas and to avoid streams, rivers and shoreline areas.
The wind is also expected to pick-up today with gusts out of the northwest up to 60 km\h. ERCA says that could lead to wave action, flooding and breakwall damage.
The advisory is in effect until 12pm Saturday.
