Five members of the Windsor Police Service have been honoured by the St. John Ambulance for their work in saving a life.
Lifesaving Awards were handed out Thursday by St. John Ambulance, which offers First Aid training and promotion.
Four members of the Emergency Services Unit were honoured for saving the life of a man who had suffered severe arm wounds in a violent bar situation.
Constables Ryan Breault, Shawn Mather, Christopher Werstein and Greg Turner received an award for their efforts in a dangerous situation.
Senior Constable Henry Penner was awarded for saving the life of a person who had tried to take their own life.
