Windsor has its first mayoral candidate.
52-year-old Tom Hensel filed his nomination papers on Tuesday.
He has lived in the city for 12 years and says this is his first time running for municipal office.
Hensel says he's running a platform of "change."
"I think a lot of us are feeling frustrated with the lack of transparency and accountability at city council and at city hall generally," says Hensel. "We're just frustrated to the point were it's time for us to step up and do something about it."

Hensel says his campaign will focus on appointing an auditor general.
"I know that's something that has come up on occasion in the past before city council and I think with a consent we can start moving in that direction,"says Hensel. "I think it's important to establish public trust with the voters and taxpayers."
Hensel is originally from Toronto.
Current mayor Drew Dilkens has yet to announce his intentions for October's municipal election.
