Windsor has its first permanent female crown attorney.
Belinda Pagliaroli has been appointed to the position following the retirement of Nat Bernardon.
Pagliaroli was called to the bar in 2003 and began her career as a defence lawyer.
In 2007, she became an assistant crown and in 2013, she became deputy crown attorney in Windsor-Essex.
She was one of the crowns prosecuting the high profile case of Matthew Brush who was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 22 years after he pleaded guilty in the death of Cassandra Kaake, a pregnant woman in Windsor.
