Careless smoking is blamed for a house fire on McKay Avenue in Windsor.
Fire crews were called to 1752 McKay about 1:00am and found heavy smoke and fire. Investigators say it started in a first floor bedroom.
The home next door at 1754 McKay suffered smoke and water damage but no fire damage.
No one was hurt but combined damage is estimated at $100,000.
In all, seven people and four dogs have been displaced.
