The Ford Fireworks show is in the final stages of preparation, with tests being done on the firing system on the barges.
It's the 60th year for the fireworks show that entertains huge crowds on both sides of the Detroit River.
"This will be the biggest show we've ever had," says Tony Michaels, President & CEO of The Detroit Parade Company. "There are more fireworks put into this 24 minute show than ever before and Ford fireworks are set up to really bring Detroit together and this is a great celebration."
Michaels says they want everyone to just enjoy the show.
"It's our 60th year and this is all about community and this is all-inclusive and this is free and everyone needs to just enjoy it. What we've done, the Parade Company, is put together the best show that Detroit has ever seen."
The show starts at 9:55pm with a flyover of historical aircraft at 7:30pm.
