Roger Federer's wait for No. 8 at Wimbledon is over.
Federer won his eighth title at the All England Club and his 19th major trophy overall with a 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 victory over Marin Cilic. The match ended with an ace from Federer after just 1 hour and 41 minutes, capping a marvelous fortnight in which he never dropped a set.
Federer has now won more Wimbledon finals than any other man in the history of an event first held in 1877.
He is also the oldest man to win Wimbledon in the Open era. The father of four turns 36 on Aug. 8.
