The federal Minister of Infrastructure and Communities is giving the thumbs up to the city's new Transit Windsor buses.

Amarjeet Sohi visited the Windsor International Transit Terminal on Monday to check out some of the new buses.

The city purchased 24 buses as part of phase one of the Federal Government's Public Transit Infrastructure Fund.

Sohi is a former bus driver and says he's pleased with what he saw.

"As a former bus driver really enabled me to look from a customers point of view as well as from the people who drive those buses and also how public transportation can really help build strong and sustainable communities," says Sohi.
