February was a record breaking month weatherwise.
Environment Canada Senior Climatologist David Phillips says there were five daily records broken during the month.
The average afternoon temperature was 7.3 C which is two degrees above the previous record set back in 1992.
The normal afternoon temperature for the month of February is suppose to be 1.1 C.
Phillips says this doesn't mean winter is over.
"Nature has seduced you into thinking that winter is over, you have the cover off the pools, you put the lawn furniture out and you have taken the snow tires off but shame on you," says Phillips.
"We still get 15-18% of our annual snowfall in Windsor falls after March 1st and we know that April can be the cruel month and last year we had snow in May."
Phillips says this is not a trend. He says March is expected to be closer to normal.
