The faculty association at the University of Windsor is raising questions about the decision to appoint an interim president at the institution.
WUFA has issued a news release asking if the search for a replacement for Dr. Alan Wildeman has failed.
The association President Dr. Jeff Noonan says it's another case where the faculty has been kept in the dark in a major decision affecting the university.
In addition to asking if the search committee failed to find a candidate, the association also wonders if a candidate was identified but rejected the offer of taking the position.
WUFA also questions why nothing of substance has been communicated to faculty after the search of nearly a year.
Noonan says if the chair of the Board of Governors can't answer these questions that raises even more questions.
The university issued a release yesterday naming Provost Douglas Kneale as interim president.
He takes over July 1st when Wildeman steps down from his position.
