Windsor's ComiCon is looking to go "outside the box" for this year's event.
In partnership with the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association, it is looking to create events outside the main venue.
The idea is to boost core area businesses by creating events that bring the ComiCon experience beyond Caesars Windsor.
DWBIA Executive Director Debbie Croucher says this is a win-win for the businesses and ComiCon.
"One of the really great aspects of Comicon and particularly working with folds at Windsor Comicon is that they've done a wonderful job in getting their special guests and celebrities into our places of business and engaging with the general public," says Croucher.
She says this is a call for applications to the DWBIA.
"All they would do is let us know which opportunity they are interested in and they would email us over at the Downtown Windsor BIA and let us know what they have in mind, what they're planning to do and how they can participate."
Applications should be submitted by April 27th.
ComiCon is September 29-30.
