A $2.9-million dollar expansion of the Windsor Public Library Budimir branch is nearing an end.
The expansion of the branch includes a six-thousand square foot addition to the branch on Grand Marais Rd. W. near Dominion along with upgrades to the existing building, which has just under 6,300 square feet of space.
Library CEO Kitty Pope says construction is on time and on budget.
"We are in the process of moving all of our resources into the new spot so they can do the carpeting and the painting in the old location and we're still on track hopefully to be open by the end of December," she says.

Pope believes users will like the new space and the renovated space.
"I think our customers are going to love it. The ceiling to floor, windows, the light that was beaming in there, it was just spectacular," she says.
Back in July, construction crews discovered some asbestos but all necessary steps were taken to resolve the issue.
