Essex-Windsor EMS wants to know what you think about its services.
It is asking residents to fill out a short, online survey on the Essex County website as part of its 10-year Master plan which will act as a guiding document for the next decade.
"The most important stakeholder is obviously the public or the patients that we pick up," says EMS Chief Bruce Krauter
He says the survey asks people about impressions of the service, any experience they've had and priorities.
"Is it response times, is it clinical practice, is it satisfaction?" says Krauter.
There is also input from key stakeholders such as hospital officials, the Local Health Integration Network, other emergency services and the ministry.
The results will be presented to Essex County Council in February 2019.
Krauter says some challenges facing EMS currently are the increase in call volumes, the logistics of building two new bridges in the region and the aging population who is staying at home, adding pressure to EMS.
Phone surveys and door-to-door canvassing will also be part of the public engagement process.
