There is something new in Essex Centre.
In partnership with the Essex Centre Business Improvement Area, the town has unveiled a new pavilion.
It's located at Heritage Gardens Park, 87 Station St., and was part of the Essex Centre Streetscape plan.
Mayor Ron McDermott took part in the unveiling and says he's pleased with the end result.
"This pavilion what a job they did," says McDermott. Like Danny Boudreau who has now retired from the town after 30 some years designed the building for the town and the BIA what a tremendous job they did."
He's welcoming the entire community to use the pavilion.
"It's going to be around for a lot of years and it's going to be there for everybody around the county. You have a function just check to see if it's available like wow."
The town unveiled the pavilion on Wednesday.
