The MPP for Essex is calling on Kathleen Wynne to step in to help bring an end to the Essex County library strike.
Taras Natyshak says the Premier should be offering up any resources she can to reach a resolution.
"She should get involved and extend all the resources that she can to find a solution as soon as possible. We cannot wait another day in Essex. We shouldn't have to wait another 200 days to get this thing resolved. We've reached a tipping point in Essex. What has the Premier been doing and what can she do to get library services to the people of Essex?"
He says the strike just isn't fair to residents.
"This government defines a strong library system as 'a cornerstone of a strong community that contributes to education, literacy and life-long learning for Ontario residents'. Yet, for over a hundred days in people in my riding of Essex have been out without their library services due to a strike."
Natyshak brought up the county library strike during question period Monday at Queen's Park.
The strike is now entering its 123rd day with no plan for negotiations to resume.
