The County of Essex is taking a "wait and see" approach to the winter weather moving toward us.
Manager of Maintenance Operations for Roads, Dan Newman, expects more rain than snow with the system arriving this afternoon.
He says they've got enough equipment and staff ready for whatever comes.
Newman says they aren't putting brine on the bridge decks for this weather event.
He says if the weather system drops a lot of snow, they're prepared:
"Once we get started with it, if it gets in here and we'll see what it's going to do." Newman says "If we have to roll out, we'll roll out. We've got guys available to go out and keep an eye on things if we have to"
Newman says the county has 13 of its own snow plow, salt trucks with 5 contracted plows becoming available in the middle of November.
