The West Region and Essex County Crime Unit of the OPP are investigating the death of one of their own.
The OPP says Constable Stephane Bilodeau, a 10 year veteran of the Essex County OPP, passed away in Lakeshore Monday.
Police were called around 8:30 last night to check on the wellbeing of a man at Tremblay Beach Conservation area.
When police arrived, they found the body of a man.
The OPP says they are very saddened by the situation and will not comment further.
Foul play is not suspected and there are no community safety concerns.
