377 tickets were issued during an Easter weekend traffic blitz
If you think drivers in Essex County are in hurry, you are right.
During the OPP's traffic safety initiative during the Easter holiday long weekend, 377 tickets were issued from April 19th to 22nd.
Essex County OPP led the West Region OPP detachments in several categories including speeding, distracted driving, hazardous moving violations and insurance offences.
In fact, the total number of charges laid in 2019 were an increase from 2018 of 73%.
