The town of Essex wants to hear from community groups that are interested in renting or leasing space in the former Harrow District High School.
The town wants to receive letters of interest in case the town decides to purchase the building.
An appraisal is currently underway.
"Just trying to get an idea for the market so that we can start developing our business plan in order to move forward with potentially purchasing the property," says town CAO Tracey Pillon-Abbs.
She says so far, the town is the only group that has expressed an interest to buy the property from the Greater Essex County District School Board.
Harrow District High School closed in June 2016 after 112 years.
Pillon-Abbs says the letter of interest from community groups is not a commitment to rent or lease the space.
The deadline to submit a letter is April 7th.
