It was a battle of first versus last as the first place Essex 73's visited Wallaceburg.
Essex had an easy time taking down the Lakers 7-3.
Wyatt O'Neil scored a hat trick for the 73's while Adam Gaiarin and William Stadder each added three assists.
Tyler Ryan stopped 27 shots to pick up the win.
