The Essex Region Conservation Authority has issued a Flood Warning for Leamington and a Flood Watch for the rest of the region.
According to ERCA, flooding is already taking place in Leamington due to damaging waves.
The authority says the heavy rain in the forecast combined with strong winds and elevated water levels are causing concern.
In addition to Leamington, Kingsville, Essex, Amherstburg, Lakeshore, Tecumseh and east Windsor could see flooding.
