A series of public information sessions will be held in August to help residents deal with high water levels and flooding.
The Essex Region Conservation Authority is co-hosting four meetings in Windsor, Lakeshore, LaSalle and Kingsville to help residents be prepared for a flood emergency while also identify the current and future impact of high water levels.
ERCA says record high lake levels are significantly impacting the region and forecasts predict water levels will reach unprecedented highs while intense rainfall is also raising additional concerns.
Residents living in flood prone or low lying areas are being encouraged to attend one of the sessions.
They will be held in Lakeshore at the Atlas Tube Centre on August 12, in Windsor at the WFCU Centre on August 13, in LaSalle at the Vollmer Complex August 14 and finish in Kingsville at Lakeside Park on August 15.
The Lakeshore session runs from 7:15pm-8:30pm, while the other three will take place from 6:30pm-8pm.
