The Enwin Utilities building in downtown Windsor is up for sale.
The company is exploring options to move its current staff of less than 100 people in 40,000 sq. ft. at its Ouellette Ave. facility into its Rhodes Dr. building.
Company CEO Helga Reidel says given the staffing levels, one building is enough to house all of its operations from its administration, call centre and engineering.
"We have unused space in this building and we have unused space at Rhodes Dr. or space that is not efficiently used," she says.
Reidel says the first step is to sell the Ouellette Ave. building.
"We hope to find a buyer with an active reuse of this building, so we may leave, but others may come in."
Reidel says it costs more than $300,000 a year to maintain the building on Ouellette.
There would also have to be some renovations at the Rhodes Dr. facility.
The city must also approve the sale.
