Environment Canada has confirmed tornados did touch down across Essex County Tuesday night.
According to the release two confirmed tornados touched down across Windsor-Essex throughout the evening.
The agency confirmed tornadoes in the McGregor area, south of Comber and a probable, but not confirmed one near Amherstburg — all at around 9pm.
A tornado warning was issued for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent around 8:30pm Tuesday.
