It's time to dig deep and help local children with physical disabilities.
The 35th annual Easter Seals Windsor-Essex telethon is set for Sunday, April 2nd from 10 to 4pm on CTV Windsor.
11-year old Brigid Kidd and 18-year-old Morgan Bennett-Murphy have been introduced as this year's ambassadors for the event.
Kidd was born with a genetic defect and is excited to represent the Easter Seals.
"I'm a little nervous but I'm o.k," she says.
Bennett-Murphy was born with three fingers on each hand, and shortened and rotated forearms. As an 18-year-old, she says it is time for her to give back.
"It feels amazing that I am able to help out other kids and I just want to start giving back the way Easter Seals has given to me," says Bennett-Murphy. "I hope when I get older I want to work in hospitals and working with kids who are sick and be a voice for them."
Bennett-Murphy was also the ambassasdor in 2008 and 2009.
$209,000 was raised in 2016 and organizers hope to surpass last year's total.
