A $35-million condo project is ready to break ground this November in east-Windsor and it's been billed as the largest of its kind in more than a decade.
Maggie Chen has been courting Toronto-based Horizon Investment Holdings Ltd. for more than two years.
The owner of LC Platinum Realty Inc. tells AM800 News the amenities around Banwell Rd. and Firgrove Dr. were a deciding factor.
The three building Eastside Horizons project will house 180 units costing between $250,000 to $350,000.
Chen says with the average cost to buy a home in Windsor-Essex creeping over the $300,000 mark, this project will answer a need in the community.
"In the past couple of years the Windsor market has gotten so hot that the price range of $250,000 to $350,000 is that highly demanded price range. We don't have enough houses or residences in this price range for Windsor."
Chen says construction could be completed by August of 2019.
