A new partnership is in place between the Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association and Windsor ComiCon.
Windsor ComiCon spokesperson Jeremy Renaud says they're looking for businesses in the downtown core to host events and activities around non traditional show hours.
He says it's going to be call the 'Windsor ComiCon Experience.'
"What we're looking to do is create a festival like experience around the Windsor ComiCon during non traditional show hours and by doing so we're going to create an atmosphere which drives people to the downtown core, which goes the show and many different ways," says Renaud.
He says the Request For Proposals has been issued.
"What we're looking to do again working with the DWBIA is go to an RFP process where businesses will have an opportunity to host on a merit of these opportunities and from there host these off site activations," says Renaud. "We'll send out an RFP and give businesses time to respond to that and from there, there will be an opportunity to host any of those, one or multi in the area or come up with unique ideas."
Renaud says there are three major events up for grabs: the Night of Heroes, ComiCon After Dark Party and the Volunteer Recognition Celebration.
Windsor's ComiCon runs from August 11 - 13 at Caesars Windsor.
