A Thamesville man has something to be thankful for this past weekend, after he walked away without any injuries after being hit by a train.
On Monday morning, emergency crews were called to a crash involving a Via Rail train and pick-up truck on Base Line near Zone 4 Road in Chatham-Kent.
The driver had allegedly stopped too close to the tracks and the front end of his truck was clipped by the passing train.
He wasn't "physically" hurt.
The driver of the truck, a 64-year-old man, is charged with start from stopped position not in safety.
Total damage was about $30,000.
