Essex County OPP have laid charges after stopping a vehicle with a trailer hauling loose shopping carts.
On Jan. 15, officers were patrolling Tecumseh Road in Tecumseh and conducted the stop.
The driver was charged with insecure load and fail to have an insurance card.
Police remind the public that unsecured or shifting loads put drivers, passengers, and all road users at serious risk.
"A secure load isn’t just good practice, it’s the law," police said.
