Random drive-thru testing for COVID-19 arrives in Tecumseh on Friday.
Staff with the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit and Essex-Windsor EMS will be at the Zehrs parking lot at Manning and Tecumseh from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
So far, between 400 and 500 people have attended EACH of the drive-thru testing locations in Kingsville and Essex this week.
That's on top of the 1,700 who were tested this past weekend in Windsor.
Medical Officer of Health Dr. Wajid Ahmed, says the random testing locations will give the health unit a good sense of how many people are asymptomatic but have the virus, therefore helping to prevent community transmission.
People should bring their health card and the testing is open to anyone 12-years of age and older.
