The Downtown Residents Association Windsor is looking to address school closures in the city's core.
Matt Wachna is with the DRA and says a review by the public school board underway and Hugh Beaton, Queen Victoria and Prince Edward could be on the chopping block.
The DRA is hosting a public meeting Thursday night to inform parents and residents about what steps they can take to try to keep their schools open.
Wachna says they're looking to protect the neighbourhood adding downtown parents feel like they're under attack.
He says it's in everybody's best interest to unite on this issue if one school closes those students have to go somewhere and that means larger classrooms, more portables and less resources per student.
Thursday's meeting gets underway at 6:30pm at the Ukrainian National Federation Hall at 1033 Ottawa Street.
Several officials will be attending including NDP Education Critic and Windsor-West MPP Lisa Gretzky, city councillor Rino Bortolin and public school board trustees Jessica Sartori and Alan Halberstadt.
