Calling all vendors.
The Downtown Windsor Farmers Market has started to accept vendor applications for the upcoming season.
General Manager Steve Green says they're aiming for up to 40 vendors.
He says he's already heard from some interested parties.
"I expect we'll probably have our usual suspects down there this year. I replied to about 20 emails of new vendors that were interested in coming down to the farmers market this year too so we'll probably see some new folks as well," says Green.
He says there are some guidelines for potential vendors.
"What we do is we go over the vendor application and we screen them and they meet our policy guidelines of being somewhat close to being a locally produced, locally grown or manufactured in some way. We're not looking for individuals who are just reselling a product or something you can buy at a resale store," says Green.
Vendors have until May 1st to sign up.
The market season kicks off May 27th on Pelissier Street and Maiden Lane.
