The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association is looking for board members.
The DWBIA has put a call out for nominations with eight seats that need to be filled.
Executive Director Debi Croucher says the nomination period typically opens after the municipal election.
"We run the nominations for Board of Directors every four years following the municipal election," says Croucher. "So we are calling for nominations for these placements, closing on November 28th and then the voting will take place on December 3rd to the 5th."

Anyone wishing to serve on the board must meet certain requirements.
"The applicant needs to be a business within the downtown, either a property owner or a business within the DWBIA's boundaries," says Croucher. "They need to have a willingness to spend the necessary time and effort to effect proper attention to the board."
She is expecting a good response.
"Folks in the downtown are really excited about getting involved," says Croucher. "This is their livelihood. They're passionate about their businesses. We're looking for eight representatives and we always get a good turnout and a good number of nominations."
The deadline for nominees to apply is November 28th at 4pm.
Voting will begin December 5th and finishes up on December 7th.
