A 27-year-old Windsor man faces drug and weapons charges related to a stabbing on Goyeau Street.
The officers got a description of a suspect and located the man in about five minutes at Ouellette Avenue and Wyandotte Street.
The adult male victim was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A search of the area did not turn up a weapon believed to be a knife.
A search of the suspect turned up quantities of what's believed to be fentanyl and methamphetamine.
27-year-old Brandon Nunn is charged with assault with a weapon and aggravated assault as well as possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking and possession of methamphetamine.
The matter is still under investigation by the Major Crime Branch.
