Lunch will be served at 12pm Sunday at the Missions home on Victoria Ave
The Downtown Mission is getting ready to serve a traditional Easter lunch.
Executive Director Ron Dunn says close to 250 people are expected Sunday afternoon.
"They'll be greeted with an Easter celebration in terms of a bit of prayer and a time to reflect and then of course the traditional ham meal is on tap for this weekend," says Dunn.
He says ham with all the trimmings will be served.
"We try and make the holidays a little bit more special with a bumped up menu if you will," says Dunn. "So we try and serve the traditional Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas kind of meals and this weekend is no different."
Dunn says it's a nice family atmosphere.
"It's about coming together right," says Dunn. "We are a family at the mission and we try and do what most families do is celebrate the holiday."
Lunch will be served at 12pm at the Mission's home on Victoria Ave.
