It's that time of the year again.
The Downtown Windsor Farmer's Market is set to open this Saturday, May 26.
Market Director Steve Green says there are more vendors registered for opening day compared to any other year.
He says the city has installed a new $75,000 electrical box on Maiden Lane for the market.
"We're going to be taking full advantage of the fact that the city of Windsor has our new hydro boxes up," says Green. "So we won't be stringing hydro from the polls anymore so we're really excited about the mix of vendors that we have and our new ability to operate."
He says both sides of the street and alley are full with a great mix of local farmers, local food producers, artisans along with some interesting surprises.
The market is on Pelissier Street between Wyandotte and Park and is also on Maiden Lane.
It will be open every Saturday from 8am until 1pm.
The market season wraps up on October 6.
