Curtis Douglas is anxious for this weeks NHL Draft in Dallas
One of the Spitfires hoping to be drafted this week, is big Curtis Douglas.
The 6'8" 247 pound winger came to the Spits last December in a trade that send overager, Aaron Luchuk to the Barrie Colts.
Douglas had 15 goals and 13 assists in 38 games with the Spitfires, to go along with seven goals, and 11 helpers he had with the Colts.
Douglas tells AM800 Sports he really developed his game after the trade to Windsor.
"It was definitely a change in the Windsor organization and how much professionalism. I mean Warren Rychel is a different style of G.M. and likes to be very close to his players and he knows what he's talking about."
Douglas says he's not overly worried what round he's taken in.
"I'm not going to worry too much about the pick and the number, it's more about the adventure and the journey that's going to take place after the draft. I've been awaiting the day for a few years now and it's more about getting it over with and putting that chapter behind me."
Other Spits that may be selected include, Mathew MacDougall and Connor Corcoran.
