Windsor police say a DNA match has helped them solve a break and enter from 10 years ago.
The heist was back on January 7, 2007, on the city's east-side, where police say a quantity of jewelry and electronics was taken.
Authorities now say sometime between 2007 and this month the suspect was convicted of another crime and had his DNA sample placed into the Known Offender database.
Earlier this month, Windsor police received confirmation from the Centre of Forensic Sciences that a DNA hit linked him to the B & E from 10 years ago.
He's since been arrested and charged but because he was only 17 at the time of the alleged offence he can't be identified.
