A 26yearold man has been arrested

A suspect has been arrested following a 2016 break-in in Windsor, thanks to a DNA hit.

On February 18, 2016, police were called to a break and enter at a home on Pillette Rd.

Some jewelry had been stolen.

Police gathered some evidence and a DNA sample was forwarded to the Centre of Forensic Sciences for analysis.

Yesterday, police heard back that there was a match.

Officers located the suspect on Tecumseh Rd. E. near Mercer St. and arrested the 26-year-old man.
