Windsor's rich diversity is being showcased at the waterfront this weekend.
The Diversity Tour is making its first ever stop outside of the GTA featuring a diverse mix of entertainment, food and family activities.
This from organizer Sunil Channan who says there's a lot of talent in Windsor that goes unnoticed.
"We want to give the opportunity to a lot of local talent to come on the stage, which nobody gives them. So we want to bring everybody, doesn't matter what background you're from. All the communities come as one community and represent on the stage and everybody has fun and enjoys and they watch."

Chad Beloin is helping to organize the event as well and says there's no better place to celebrate diversity than Windsor.
"We've had the ability the celebrate the Diversity Tour in very diverse locations and the diversity here is incredible. So to be able to celebrate that with them and to learn a little bit more about one another I think is an incredible thing to do and what better place than Windsor, right?"

Channan adds the response in Windsor has been so overwhelming they're already planning on returning next year.
The Diversity Tour wraps up Sunday at 6pm at Windsor's Riverfront Festival Plaza — admission into the event is free.
According to Statistics Canada, roughly one in four people in Windsor-Essex are immigrants.
