Two suspects accused of dressing as police officers during what Windsor Police describe as a targeted and violent home invasion in east Windsor are facing a long list of charges.

Officers responded shortly after 9:30 a.m. Thursday to a report of a home invasion in progress at a residence in the 1100 block of Cora Greenwood Drive.

Officers learned that five suspects had forced their way into the house, while a sixth fled before entering. Police say at least three of the suspects were armed with firearms, and two were dressed in police uniforms and impersonating officers.

Once inside, the suspects allegedly assaulted, threatened, and robbed three victims. Police say all three victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

When officers arrived on scene, the suspects fled through the rear of the home. One suspect was arrested immediately while running from the home, while a second suspect was taken into custody in a nearby area about two hours later.

Investigators recovered a loaded handgun and an airsoft pistol inside the home. Stolen property was later recovered in the area.

A 31-year-old and a 16-year-old boy - who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act - are both facing 19 charges, some of which include break-and-enter, robbery with an offensive weapon, forcible confinement, pointing a firearm, and misleading use of a badge or uniform by a civilian. The 31-year-old is also charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.

Police say four additional male suspects remain outstanding.

Investigators believe the incident was targeted and are asking residents and business owners in the area of Cora Greenwood Drive, Hong Court, and Whistler Crescent to review surveillance, dashcam, or doorbell camera footage recorded between 8:30 Thursday morning and 10:30 a.m.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police or Crime Stoppers.
