A Tecumseh doctor has had his licence revoked by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Dr. Haider Hasnain was early found guilty of committing an act of professional misconduct after he had sex with a patient.
The disciplinary committee publicly reprimanded Hasnain Monday morning in Toronto and ordered him to pay $20,550 to recoup the college's costs.
As well as Hasnain is ordered to pay up to $16,000 for the Sexual Abuse Therapy Fund to help his victim.
Dr. Hasnain was a family physician at the Tecumseh Community Care Clinic.
The college found he had a consensual relationship with a female patient in her 50s that happened in 2009 and early 2010 and included sexual intercourse and oral sex.
The panel found the sexual relationship was happening at the same time as their physician-patient relationship.
